The "why" module. You'll cover why traditional management struggles with software-driven markets, and how SAFe's seven core competencies fit together as an operating system for the enterprise. If you've only seen SAFe's big picture diagram, this is where it starts making sense as a system.
2. Becoming a Lean-Agile Leader
The mindset module — and the exam's favorite. You'll work through the Lean-Agile mindset, the SAFe principles (economics, systems thinking, decentralized decision-making), and what "leading by example" concretely means during a transformation. Expect several exam questions drawn from the principles.
3. Establishing Team and Technical Agility
How the delivery engine is built: cross-functional Agile teams, the team-of-teams structure of the Agile Release Train, and built-in quality practices that keep a 100-person train from producing a 100-person mess.
4. Building Solutions with Agile Product Delivery
The delivery module: customer centricity and design thinking, prioritizing with WSJF economics, the PI Planning cadence that synchronizes every team, and the DevOps pipeline that lets the business release on demand rather than on the calendar.
5. Exploring Lean Portfolio Management
The money module — usually the biggest eye-opener for executives. Traditional annual project budgeting gives way to funding value streams, portfolio Kanban, and lightweight governance. Leaders continuing down this track often follow with the dedicated LPM certification.
6. Leading the Change
